Moisturising the skin helps with this.
In pregnancy there is a condition called Pruritic Urticarial Papules
and Plaques of Pregnancy or PUPPP (known in the UK as Polymorphic
Eruption of Pregnancy -PEP) which is when small raised areas
appear on the stretch marks, and they may itch. The red areas
might spread to nearby areas of skin.
The problem usually subsides in a few days but might not go
away until after the birth of the baby. It is not harmful to you or your baby.
Your doctor can prescribe antihistamines or even steroids to
help with the itching if necessary. | | | | | | | Related Info | | Pregnancy | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
